Make your first movie CD
- Download and install Disc Workshop 1.8.3. Locate FFmpeg, VCDImager and ImgBurn; keep FFprobe and FFplay beside FFmpeg.
- Start with one complete, readable movie file. Click Add files. For several clips, arrange them in playback order.
- Choose an output folder with plenty of free space, NTSC or PAL, and 74- or 80-minute media to match your blank CD.
- Choose standard VCD, SVCD (MPEG-2), or XVCD (MPEG-1 custom). Leave one-disc fitting off for ordinary multi-disc output.
- Choose the correct audio stream (0 is the first). Enable HDR → SDR only for compatible HDR sources. Check widescreen squeeze and your TV’s stretch setting.
- Optional: choose manual breaks with the timeline or HH:MM:SS fields; Space plays/pauses. Arrow preview shortcuts are disabled. Add fades, silent black screens or subtitle burn-in if wanted.
- Click Create Video CDs and wait for successful completion. Low vision can be toggled during conversion. Read DISC-PLAN.txt and preview the end and beginning of adjacent disc files.
- Select a completed CUE and click Burn selected CD. Choose your writer in ImgBurn, write and verify the CD-R, then test it in your player.
Keep each CUE beside its matching BIN. Burn the CUE image, not a data CD containing these files. Do not burn partial output after a failed or cancelled job.
