Station 823 ยท MovieSeeD documentationPublish MovieSeeD on station823.com
Ready-to-upload files
For one download containing everything, use MovieSeeD-0.3.2-beta-website-kit.zip. Extract it and upload the contents of its website folder together. Read START-HERE.txt for the folder layout.
Individual files are also in the release folder:
MovieSeeD-0.3.2-beta-Setup.exe
MovieSeeD-0.3.2-beta-portable.zip
SHA256SUMS.txt
- Everything inside
release\website, including index.html, docs, and assets.
Upload those files into the same public folder, for example a new movie-seed folder under the site's web root. Its intended address would then be https://station823.com/movie-seed/. That address is a proposed destination until the upload is completed; the build does not publish automatically.
The landing page uses relative download links. Keep the installer, ZIP, checksums, docs folder, and assets folder beside index.html. Add a MovieSeeD link to your main website menu after checking the destination.
Existing WordPress or website editor
The standalone page can sit in its own directory without replacing the existing homepage. Upload it through your hosting provider's file manager or your normal deployment method. If your website editor cannot upload EXE/ZIP files, use the host's file manager or a download service you control and update the two download links. Do not change site security settings just to enable EXE uploads.
If you prefer to build a page in your existing editor, use Website-Copy.html and link its download buttons to the uploaded release artifacts. Preserve the codec requirement and beta label near the buttons.
What must not be uploaded
Do not upload the entire development folder. In particular, exclude local-codec, local-codec-nt, data, previews, evidence, build, copied movies, original installers, and codec DLLs. The public package uses an explicit file allowlist and checks for private media and codecs.
The download includes application source and third-party source/license materials. Retain those materials when redistributing it. The original codec license does not authorize bundling the codec here; users import their own supported copy.
Verify the published page
- Open the page in a private browser window on another device.
- Download both artifacts and compare SHA-256 against SHA256SUMS.txt.
- Check documentation and image links, the Station 823 return link, and the exact PayPal and Venmo destinations.
- Verify the beta label, original-codec requirement, output size limit, and optional caption-engine setup are visible.
- Test installation, Start menu icon, playback, conversion, update, and uninstall on a clean Windows x64 computer before advertising general availability. Current local development checks are described in Validation.html.
Updating a release
Use a new version number for changed downloads. Rebuild docs and artifacts together, then regenerate checksums. Keep previous artifacts available for rollback if desired. Do not replace a download under an old checksum.

No support email address has been supplied. Use your existing site contact channel when you choose one. Ask for app version, Windows version, disc title/number, time of failure, and exact error. Do not ask visitors to upload entire movies or proprietary codecs.
